Maxwell's four equations, published in 1865, unified electricity, magnetism, and light and predicted electromagnetic waves propagating at c = 1/√(ε₀μ₀). Every wireless network, every radio, every laser depends on them. What Maxwell could not specify is what the electromagnetic wave is propagating through.

BFUT Paper 23 identifies the medium: light is a propagating deformation wave in the Spaticle substrate.

The Mechanism

A charge condensation undergoing acceleration - changing velocity, oscillating, or undergoing any change in internal circulation direction - produces a time-varying change in its surrounding Spaticle field deformation. This change propagates outward through the substrate at speed c. The propagating deformation carries the pattern of the source charge's acceleration: frequency, amplitude, polarisation, and phase.

In BFUT, the electromagnetic field at a given point is the local state of the Spaticle substrate at that point - specifically, the time-varying circulation deformation produced by all distant charges. Light is not a separate entity travelling through empty space. It is a dynamic pattern in the physical substrate of space itself.

Why the Michelson-Morley Experiment Confirms BFUT

The Michelson-Morley experiment (1887) found no difference in light speed in different directions - ruling out a stationary classical aether. But it did not rule out a substrate in which light and matter are both excitations of the same field. In BFUT, both the apparatus and the light are excitations of the Spaticle substrate. If the substrate drifts, everything drifts together. No embedded observer can detect substrate-wide drift - exactly the null result Michelson and Morley found. The experiment is constitutionally incapable of distinguishing between no substrate and a BFUT-type substrate. The null result is the only possible result in a BFUT universe.

Why Light Speed Is Fixed

c is the Spaticle substrate's maximum propagation speed - a property of the medium, not of the source or observer. Any propagating disturbance in the substrate travels at c regardless of who produced it or who measures it. This is why special relativity works: the constancy of c is not a postulate about light - it is a property of the substrate that all observers and all signals are embedded in.
